Coastal Community Risk Assessment
Coastal Risk Rapid Assessment

CRC Tools

CRC has developed a state-of-the-art, climate impacts risk screening tool, designed to help you easily identify and understand the potential risks to individual properties at the parcel level from flooding, tidal effects, storm surge, and sea level rise. Dynamic forces of wind, flying debris and wave impacts can be added, as needed.

This tool allows you to evaluate the current risk status of a property and how it will be impacted in years to come. In the residential sector, this is particularly important to buyers and sellers, real estate brokers, banks and insurance companies. This parcel level analysis (or the lack, thereof) may also implicate legal and regulatory disclosure requirements. In the commercial sector, parcel level risks are important for business continuation planning, supply chain management and insurance, as well.

In partnership with local governments, CRC uses its Coastal Community Risk Assessment as a starting point for the client to identify actions to implement adaptation measures in an identified Project Area.

Using its unique, Coastal Community Risk Assessment process, CRC  will prepare: (1) a set of state-of-the-art, flood risk maps; (2) a vulnerability assessment; (3) a preliminary outline of potential adaptation strategies; and, (4) site-specific recommendations for future adaptation planning.

The resulting resilience in both built and natural systems will allow successful and ongoing adaptive management to changing conditions.
